Administrative Law

Administrative disputes are all kinds of cases that arise within the scope of our operation as Public Administration and the exercise of public authority under our jurisdiction. All kinds of administrative bodies, whether individual or collective, often operate in violation of our principle of legality, causing serious problems for individuals and legal entities. The actions and omissions of our state organs are reviewed by the regular Administrative Courts and our Council of State, which have the authority under the Constitution and the laws governing our operation to annul or reform our administrative acts. In this context, the pursuit of reasonable and fair compensation for the restoration of damage suffered by the governed from these acts or omissions of our administration is not excluded.

The activities of our office involve the following areas:

We provide services related to spatial and urban planning, implementation acts of urban studies, land regularization, building issues, building permits, unauthorized constructions, fines for unauthorized constructions, protection of off-plan property, fines for all types of urban planning violations, appeals against urban planning acts, etc.

We provide services covering all aspects of the environment (natural and urban), with emphasis on environmental licensing, environmental liability, violations and related fines, water resources, streams, special protection regimes (Natura 2000, coastal areas, etc.), waste management, environmental financing tools, etc. Special attention is also given to the dimension of EU environmental law, as a pillar of our local community development.

We provide services related to collective applications for annulment by residents or affected parties against decisions approving environmental terms, due to degradation of our environment. We also provide support in drafting complaints to the competent public authorities, as well as to the European Commission.

We provide services related to environmental permitting for projects, activities, plans, and programs (environmental terms approvals, EIA, etc.), at both administrative and judicial levels.

We provide services related to the protection of individual rights concerning the environment (personality, private life, health, life), as enshrined in the Constitution, international conventions, and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU. In particular, appeals are made to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) for a variety of specific rights protected by the ECHR, such as chronic non-completed land regularization expropriations.
